Your profile
Our Tech-Stack: Ruby on Rails. Postgresql. Kubernetes

  • Professional experience as a software developer and experience in the development of web-based applications as well as in TDD
  • Experience with Scrum or similar agile methods
  • Intrinsic motivation to write readable and maintainable code
  • Good knowledge of software development in Ruby On Rails or similar frameworks
  • You work responsibly on your own and know when to reach out to colleagues
  • Good knowledge of software architecture, especially in OOP
  • Experience with Unix systems
  • Very good knowledge of English in spoken and written

Your mission
  • As a senior developer you are expected to interact with Product Management, Quality Assurance and the Developer Team to qualify feature requests, improvements and bugs
  • You like to deeply understand and analyse tasks / problems and find sustainable and appropriate solutions. We do web-development. Readable and proper code, as well as tests are a must, but every solution has to be set in relation to the outcome. 
  • Tbh, you will also have to work on bugs. Sometimes it's tedious, but on the bright side, it always helps to get a better and deeper understanding of the system
  • Your knowledge is honoured at MICE Portal, and we'd like you to articulate and share it. We discuss tickets, have scheduled knowledge sharing session, 1on1s with our Head of Development and our Product Managers can be pinged almost always. Being an active part helps us and yourself to grow.
  • Code Reviews are an important part of our development cycle. Getting second opinions matters to reflect and learn, to comment on other work helps to learn, interact and improve.
  • Last but not least you will have a lot of time to write code at MICE Portal :)
